This is simply to extend a huge thanks to Bree and Doug Reynolds for hosting this weekend's sail on Idaho's magnificent Lake Pend Oreille. Although the attendance was low (3 Potters and 2 Montgomerys), we had a great time, some fine sailing, and Bree's wonderful hospitality in Peeper's galley. Plus free towing service! Pend Oreille is SOME lake, and host to a lot of serious sailing, with a good representation of big boats in the 35-40 foot range, and they weren't just sitting at the dock. We sailed the lower 15-20 percent or so, from Buttonhook Bay to Whiskey Rock; it felt a lot like sailing Rosario Strait, except it was fresh water and there was no current. See the map at http://www.sandpointonline.com/visitor/maps/lake.html

I'll post some pictures in the next day or so, as well as a bit more of a narrative, but needed to post this thank you message tonight. The trip back took 5 1/2 hours from the launch ramp to the I-90 & I-405 intersection. A bit longer than some of us are used to but it was worth it.
